The Baylor 2017 recruiting class is nowhere near close to complete, but has grown exponentially over the past month since Coach Rhule and his staff took over in Waco.

With the Rivals.com national team updating the prospect rankings later this week for the final time in the 2017 cycle, it's time to take a closer look at the numbers and break down where this Baylor recruiting class stacks up in the overall team rankings.

Each prospect is assigned a set number of points based on their Rivals Rating (RR). The amount of points per prospect ranges from 150 points for a 6.1 five-star prospect down to 15 points for a 5.2 two-star prospect.

In addition to the points assigned per Rivals Rating (RR), the prospects ranked in the Rivals250 national rankings receive bonus points depending on where they are listed from 1-250. For example, the No. 1 prospect in the country adds +100 bonus points and the No. 250 prospect in the country adds +3 points.

Currently at 12 total commitments, this Baylor 2017 recruiting class ranks as the No. 66 overall class in the nation and the No. 9 overall class in the Big12 conference.
