Dickson returns to Baylor

The talk behind the channels began weeks ago. Then it fell silent. Then it changed Monday night.
Nearly four months after committing to Texas, Tren'Davian Dickson decided that his future was where he originally started - Baylor. Late Monday, Dickson flipped his commitment from the Longhorns to the Bears and became the No. 16 commitment to the 2016 class.

The three-star receiver had previously de-committed from Baylor in February. He fielded 17 offers and had taken an official visit to Oklahoma nearly three weeks ago.
When Baylor first discovered Dickson during the 2014 May evaluation period, the coaching staff had a pretty good feeling on what it had. At its July 2014 camp on the Baylor campus, Dickson committed.
Then he went on to break national touchdown records during his junior season as he led Navasota to the Class 4A Division I state championship. In 2015, he's still put together a solid season but not like what he did in 2014. Dickson is averaging 18 yards per catch (32-569) and has 11 scores.
Dickson's commitment adds to a wide receiver class that has intriguing athletes and can still add one more. The program already has the commitments of Daingerfield's Denzel Mims and Mesquite Horn's Jared Atkinson.
Of course, there is still the hope that Sachse and Rivals 100 wide receiver Devin Duvernay will eventually come to Baylor. Everything points to Duvernay visiting this weekend when the Bears play host to Oklahoma. Duvernay told Rivals Jason Howell on Monday that he still wasn't sure if he would make this an official or unofficial visit.
But this move to convince Dickson to return also centers on Baylor junior wide receiver Corey Coleman. As Coleman's Heisman hopeful season continues to unfold (58-1,178 20 TD, 20.3 ypc), the speculation of him declaring for the NFL draft in January strengthens. Coleman's departure would make a spot available.
Dickson is the No. 73 rated receiver in the country and the No. 47 rated player in Texas.
