Editor’s note: This is a series that gives a snapshot look at the incoming Baylor 2016 class. Baylor put together the No. 17 class in the nation. It was the highest rated class for the Bears since Rivals started keeping track of this. Baylor’s class is expected to arrive on May 30.

Projected 2016 impact: Baylor is pretty deep in the secondary. Plus, it is expected that Parrish Cobb will play at some point. That said, Texada, who has a great season in track in the 100, should expect to get a redshirt. He’s probably a little heavier than 160. Still, his slight frame needs a Division I strength and conditioning program to get him ready for the 2017 season.

SicEmSports asked each of the recruits two questions:
1. What was the moment or action that happened that convinced you Baylor was your choice?
Texada: When I met the coaching staff my sophomore.
2. What do you expect to be the great challenge(s) you will face in football/student life?
Texada: The biggest challenge will be adjusting to college life simply because it’s new. Everything is a lot different than being in high school in Frisco.
