Cowboys to Watch

No. 10 Baylor (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) travels to No. 6 Oklahoma State (10-0, 7-0) Saturday night with major Big 12 and national implications at stake. SicEmSports provides a look at several of the Cowboys to watch.
Mason Rudolph, #2

QB, So. 6-4, 220
Notable: Rudolph made his collegiate debut at Baylor in 2014 and impressed. He's gone on to split duties with senior J.W. Walsh. Walsh will work in certain running packages. Sturdily built, Rudolph has thrown for 3,161 yards and 18 scores against eight interceptions. He's completed a little more than 64 percent of his passes. He's pretty much a pocket passer. But he possesses a very solid release.
Emmanuel Ogbah, #38
DE, Jr. 6-4, 275
Notable: The reigning Big 12's defensive lineman of the year should battle Baylor's Andrew Billings and Oklahoma's Charles Tapper for that honor this year. Following his breakthrough 2014 campaign, Ogbah leads the Big 12 in sacks (11) and tackles for loss (15.5). The total yardage lost between the two is 118. His feet are extremely quick. The speculation is that the Houston Bush product will declare for the NFL draft in January. Look for Baylor to line a tight end wherever Ogbah is.
James Washington, #28
WR, So. 6-0, 200
Notable: It's been an interesting season for the Stamford, TX native. He has 40 receptions for 820 yards and 7 touchdowns. However, 487 of those yards and six of those scores occurred in a three-game stretch between Kansas, Texas Tech and TCU. In the other seven games, he has 333 yards and one touchdown. But he is a big play threat. You should expect to see Xavien Howard get the assignment.
Jordan Sterns, #13
S, Jr. 6-1, 205
Notable: The Cibolo Steele standout is trying to make it consecutive seasons as the Cowboys leading tackler. He led with 103 in 2014. So far, he has 81. Oklahoma State's pass defense is in the middle of the Big 12 at 235 yards per game. Of course, the yards it surrendered to TCU and Texas Tech impacted that ranking. OSU safeties are very good in the run the support. Sterns is about as physical safety there is in the conference.
Vincent Taylor, #96
DT, So. 6-3, 300
Notable: This has been a season where Taylor has made his presence felt with the Cowboy defense. The San Antonio Madison graduate has had to pick up the slack with Jimmy Bean being lost for the year with a torn ACL. Among active defensive linemen, Taylor is second in tackles for loss with 7.5 and sacks with 4.0. Sometimes, he gets caught with his hands. But he continues to grow into his position.
