Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford will start for the Sooners on Saturday against Baylor, coach Bob Stoops said.

"Sam has had a great week of practice and is ready to play," Stoops said after meeting with Bradford on Friday morning. "We're obviously excited to have him back."

Bradford suffered a third-degree AC joint sprain in the Sooners' season opener against BYU and has been unable to play since the injury.

The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback resumed practice with the team last week, but he wasn't able to return until this weekend due to soreness in his shoulder.

Landry Jones will return to his role as the backup quarterback.

"We remain very pleased with the work Landry Jones did in replacing Sam and our entire program has a lot of confidence in his ability," Stoops said.
